Stanford’s Fall Curbside Clean Up: Saturday, October 16th, 2021, 7 am to noon

The Curbside Clean-Up offers an opportunity for our customers to clean out their house, garage, and yard.

Guidelines for Participation

Collection begins at 7 am, please set materials out the night before.  All material must be bagged, tied, boxed, or bundled, weigh less than 30 pounds per unit, and be placed on the curb or alleyway.  Large bulky items are accepted with the restrictions below:

  • Tree limbs, prunings, wood, and lumber should be cut into 4 foot maximum lengths and 4 inch thickness max.
  • Refrigerators are accepted during the Clean-Up but we charge a separate fee to remove the oil and freon.  Please call the office before the Clean-Up to order a pick-up of your refrigerator/freezer.
  • Computer monitors and televisions and other items containing Cathode Ray Tubes (CRT) have been deemed hazardous waste by the California's Department of Toxic Substance Control because of the 5-7 pounds of lead and other metal contained inside. We will be collecting them for free during the clean-up, but only if your name and address are on the item (a requirement by the State).

Cannot Accept

During the Clean-Up, we cannot accept hazardous or toxic materials including, fluorescent tubes, and thermostats.  Nor can we accept dirt, rock, cement, or other similar materials. We also will not accept automobile parts. Lastly, we will not accept any universal waste, including: Household batteries, CFL Lightbulbs and water based paint. Those can be brought to our office at 339 Bonair Siding Rd.

The Santa Clara County Household Hazardous Waste Program can help you properly dispose of your home chemicals and toxics through their drop-off appointment system.
