Bruce Clemens

Bruce has been on the Stanford Faculty in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering for just over 30 years. He lives in his campus home on Tolman Drive with his wife, Stacey Bent, who is also a faculty member at Stanford, and their dog Rico, who is not. Bruce is a regular runner, biker, and walker around the campus home environs. He is interested in energy conservation, alternative energy, and cycle safety and access. As a board member Bruce hopes to continue to work with the community and University to maintain the beauty, livability, and value of our amazing neighborhoods. Bruce has board and leadership experience, having served as Department Chair and as President of the Board of Directors of the Materials Research Society (the largest materials organization in the world).
