SCRL Board Member luhrman@stanford.edu

Tanya Luhrmann

Tanya Marie Luhrmann has lived on campus since 2007, when she and her husband, Richard Saller, were recruited from the University of Chicago. Richard served as Dean of Humanities and Sciences and is now Professor in Classics. Tanya is a Professor in the Department of Anthropology, where her work on voices and visions makes her both a medical anthropologist and an anthropologist of religion. She is a dog owner and an avid gardener. She hopes to work with the SCRL Board and with Stanford on fire risk and the preservation of our somewhat rural setting as our climate changes. She is also concerned with our rodent population.
