My wife (Natalia Gomez-Ospina, an Assistant Professor of Genetics and Stem Cell Transplantation) and I moved to Gerona last year, and are thrilled to join the SCRL community. I have spent my career as a tech and biotech entrepreneur, starting two consumer internet businesses in NYC in the mid 90s. I moved to California in 2003 to found the first of three wireless tech companies, and in 2015 made a challenging but rewarding move into biotech. Fortunately Natalia helps when I’m out of my scientific depths. I’m currently the Chief Business Officer for Immunai, a startup using ML and single cell genomics to (try to) unlock the mysteries of the immune system.

We chose to live here because of the access to campus, the amazing outdoor beauty, the oasis-like feel of Gerona, but most importantly, the wonderful community. We hope to build our family here (we recently adopted an amazing 5yo girl and are pregnant with our second), and can’t imagine a better place for a child to grow up
