Katie and her husband John (SIEPR, Economics Department) have lived on Frenchman's Road for 37 years. Katie's current SCRL Board involvement includes membership on the Executive Committee, liaison to Stanford's LBRE group for SCRL's outdoor environment projects, and member of Junipero Serra Boulevard Traffic Calming Committee. She has helped to support SCRL's ongoing efforts in neighborhood community building through involvement in Park Events and she has participated in the Stanford Historical Society's Campus Home and Garden Tours. Earlier SCRL and Board involvement included active participation in SCRL's Community Planning Project (1995), service as a member of the President Hennessey's Working Group on Homeowner-University Relations (2001) representing faculty spouses, and she was and continues to be a member of SCRL's Parks Renovation and Restoration Committee. Katie was actively involved and held leadership positions in PTA at Nixon, JLS and Gunn and served for many years on the Palo Alto PTA Council as well as on the Nixon Site Council. Katie and her family are avid fans of Stanford and Santa Clara University sports, and she and John are proud grandparents of a 2 1/2-year-old grandson and a 7-month-old granddaughter.
