Jim Sweeney

Jim has been a campus homeowner since 1985 and is married to Susan Sweeney. They have four adult children and five, soon to be six, grandchildren. A professor of Management Science and Engineering, his professional activities focus on economic policy and analysis, particularly in energy, natural resources, and the environment. Jim is a Senior Fellow of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, of the Hoover Institution, and of the Precourt Institute for Energy. Jim currently serves as the President of the SCRL Board. He has played an active role in Stanford land use issues and in building positive and effective SCRL relationships with the University administration, with Palo Alto, and with the Santa Clara County. He is interested in further expanding the role of homeowners in managing their own community, while further improving the working relationships with the Stanford administration.
