I joined the Stanford community in 1983, as professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics. My wife and I raised our busy family on campus, with our daughters babysitting and lifeguarding neighborhood children. I had served on the SCRA board and the Faculty Senate, and I am now a member of the Emeriti Council. I am retired but walk nearly every day to my office to consult with students. When I am not in my office, I can be found on the golf course or walking our Border Collie, Daisy, on campus. I welcome the chance to represent my neighbors as part of the SCRL board.
